RPI-monitor seems to do disk, memory & cpu out of the box but requires some configuration to monitor the network. I have actually shipped wired and wireless Raspberry Pi agents to my parents in Greece. I would like to send a streaming video from the raspberry to an application on the server through the VPN so first I configured wireguard in the server and in the client and finally I added a rule to forward the packets from the port where wireguard is listening on the server to the port where the application is listening. Ship the Raspberry Pi to your parents and ask them to plug it into their router.Install the NetBeez agent on your Raspberry PiĮcho "deb wheezy main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list. ![]() Get a free trial of the NetBeez dashboard: Following the install instructions, you need to have a Pi set up with Raspberry Pi OS running on your network, and be able to SSH into the Pi.Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to run these tests from any location (home, office, etc) on a Raspberry Pi and have the results uploaded to a central server for easy access? Also found vnstat to be nice, but only monitors total network usage. ![]() I know nethogs but it only shows current process and I need longer period to be monitored and probably logged to some file. And since you are a network engineer, you know who your parents will call when their internet is down… Is there anything that allows me to monitor network usage by process for longer time (1 day +-). ![]()
